MEET VANESSA COX

Vanessa Cox is a ASX Group Company Director, Philanthropist and Mother.

Vanessa’s passion has taken her across the globe working as an international brand account manager for Nike, Coca-Cola and Sony in Europe; Lecturing at the London School of Public Relations; and becoming a co-founding Company Director of an ASX listed Group Company, at a time when only 53 women in Australia’s history had been a female ASX Director.

From an early age Vanessa had a great love for business but a horrific accident in her childhood left her confined to a wheelchair and her dreams of being a globetrotting business woman were put on hold. Determined to pursue her dreams Vanessa rebuilt her strength and went on to develop her passion for business, leaving the wheelchair behind.

Vanessa is also a motivational speaker who invests her time into events that will encourage and inspire women from all walks of life, especially young women and women in business.

Nike set out to make waves in the world of global football—and Vanessa through her role as Nike Account Manager at Kubik helped them do it.

Instead of official Nike sport sponsorships, the strategy was to dominate the city not the stadium: transform city streets and forgotten industrial spaces into full-blown soccer playgrounds.

Together they built immersive brand environments in unexpected places—old shipyards, abandoned stations, raw concrete spaces—and turn them into high-energy hubs filled with fans, youth athletes, and influencers. Modular structures and scalable design kits allowed for quick setup and global consistency, while still leaving room for local authenticity and grit.

From steel fencing and oil drums to massive murals of global football icons, everything was designed to tap into the raw, emotional energy of street football. It wasn’t just a tournament—it was a movement.
